Enjoyed breakfast here today. Was surprised to be served a complimentary bowl of soup at 8:30 in the morning. But it was yummy and warming. I ordered the California AM burrito for my breakfast and it was delicious and filling. I chose fruit as my side and it was grapes, blueberries and strawberries. I ordered pupusas to-go. I was so full from my burrito, but tried a bite of each when I got home. Also very good. The gentleman who waited on me was very prompt and attentive. Can't wait to come back here to try the chilaquiles!
This place is one of the best restaurants in Athens! Definitely a hidden/underground place. Great variety and hospitality. I had the chorizo breakfast skillet; delish and hot!! I will be back often
We’ve been going here recently for dinner and brunch and it never misses. Every dish has been good to great, with a lot more greats than goods. The flavors are wonderful and the preparation is spot on. Very nice people, too!
Let me tell you something! This place is fabulous! Great options including breakfast. They started us off with a sopita which I liked better than chips and salsa. I had the papas and chorizo skillet. They make everything from scratch, tortillas pancakes, empanadas...everything. They also have cafe and have alternative milk options too. I had the mazapan latte. Highly recommend
best food taste the food was not greasy it was on point i ordered a cuban sandwich and asked to have the meat grilled instead of breaded it was delicious..the taquitos werent even greasy best of all their homemade waters were good
Discovered this very cool restaurant in a Google search. Glad I did! Very fresh latin food representing favorites from various latin cuisine. I had some ala carte choices: 1) famous Arepa (cheese, egg, avocado and ham w/avocada sauce). 2. Puposa (Revuelta/Salvadoran - stuffed masa cake w/red sauce. 3) And a spanish/latin favorite empanada (cafe special off-menu they made for me/stuffed w/sweet rice in a cinnamon flavored pastry). The waitress was outstanding, friendly, explained our food choices and nice conversation. She is a positive asset to this restaurant. I highly recommend this hidden gem in Homewood Shopping Center, Athens, GA. Good parking. I definitely plan on returning soon.
If you haven't been to Cantaritos yet, put it at the top of your list immediately! They have the best authentic Venezuelan food in town. I have never been disappointed by anything I have tried (and I have tried a lot of their menu!). Check out my most recent favorite featured in picture! Of course, if you aren't feeling the most adventurous, they also have great staples like shrimp tacos and fish or cali burrito. But genuinely, I love this foodie spot and I visit every couple of weeks. It's that good.
Came for breakfast on a Saturday while visiting Athens, GA. I was greeted with a smile, service was very fast and good. I ordered the Chilaquiles, delicious! 17.80 with a cafe.
